Pokémon Uranium is a new unofficial installment in the Pokémon saga developed by a small team of fans over a period of almost 10 years – and it shows. Taking the Nintendo DS games as its base, the game offers everything you'd expect from a good Pokémon release for Windows.

The most important thing in any Pokémon game is just that: the pokémon. And in Uranium, not only do you find loads of well-known names, you also run into some new ones. All of them can be captured, leveled up, and of course, evolved. In fact, the first three pokémon are completely new.

The storyline in Pokémon Uranium is also completely new and different from any of the previous games. The story is slightly darker than other games from the saga, and lets you discover so-far unexplored regions. Even the cast of characters, including the professor and your rival, are totally new.

One great detail in Pokémon Uranium is how refined the controls are: the game can be enjoyed perfectly with a mouse and keyboard. Of course, you can also use a controller, but you won't have any trouble using the keyboard.

Pokémon Uranium is a real treasure for fans of the Pokémon saga, who will be pleased to discover a game that's both refined and full of surprises. The graphics are also slightly improved in comparison to previous installments in the saga.
Pokemon Uranium: An awesome unofficial release for PC

The world of fangames has brought us a lot of joy, with its gamer-developed titles based on classic sagas. While a few days ago it was a remake of Metroid II in the limelight, today we're gung-ho about Pokémon Uranium, a game developed over nine years by a group of fans. Based on the look and game system of fourth-gen games for Nintendo DS, it offers a completely new world to explore. The final version of the game has just come out on Windows and can be downloaded for free.
